HOME LEARNING POLICY:

At Atlantic Schools, home learning is an essential part of students' academic development, helping to extend and enhance their study skills while preparing them for future academic challenges.

Home learning plays a vital role, particularly for secondary and high school students, providing extra time for research, reflection, and exam preparation. As students’ progress through grades, the amount of home learning increases to match the demands of their studies.

In primary school, especially for grades 1 to 3, we minimize home learning to give students more time for play and creativity. However, as students advance, the value of home learning grows, teaching self-discipline and improving overall results.

Home learning also allows parents to actively participate in their child's education, offering insight into the work being done in school. At higher grades, home study encourages the development of self-discipline, time management skills, and a structured study pattern, all while involving parents in the learning process and helping students to consolidate their subject knowledge.
