Home Learning Policy

At Atlantic Education Schools, home learning is essential for students’ academic growth, strengthening their study skills and preparing them for future academic hurdles. It is particularly important for secondary students, offering valuable time for research, reflection, and exam preparation. As students advance through the Year level, the amount of home learning increases proportionally to meet rising academic demands.

For primary students, especially those in Year 2 to 4, we keep home learning to a minimum to encourage more time for play and creativity. However, as students’ progress, the significance of home learning grows, fostering self-discipline and contributing to improved academic outcomes.

Additionally, home learning provides parents with an opportunity to actively engage in their child’s education, gaining insight into their schoolwork. In higher Year levels, home study encourages the development of self-discipline, effective time management, and a structured approach to learning. This process also involves parents in their child’s educational journey and helps students solidify their understanding of subjects
